Terms and Conditions for The Interchange

Last Updated: November 28, 2025

Welcome to The Interchange. By using our website or working with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. They protect both you and us and keep the work clear, simple, and fair.

1. Who We Are

The Interchange provides basic branding, simple websites, logo design, beginner level marketing education, and optional access to a small business support network. We focus on clarity, transparency, and ownership. You always keep your assets. We do not take control of your business or your platforms.

2. What You Agree To

By working with The Interchange, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate project information and content

  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner

  • Make payments according to the agreed structure

  • Follow any deadlines or requirements needed to complete your project

  • Use your website and assets responsibly and in line with the guidelines of the platforms we set them up on

3. Payments and Fees

  • All pricing is listed clearly on our site or provided during consultation.

  • Payment is required before work begins unless otherwise stated.

  • Any platform costs such as Wix, Squarespace, scheduling tools, domain purchases, or subscription services are paid directly by you. These are not included in our service fee.

  • No hidden fees. No long term contracts. No surprise bills.

4. Revisions

To protect our time and keep prices accessible:

  • Each project includes a reasonable number of revisions, which will be stated during the start of the project.

  • Additional revisions may require an added fee.

  • We do not offer unlimited revisions. Projects cannot be reopened indefinitely once completed.

This allows us to continue offering low cost support to the people who need it most.

5. Ownership of Assets

You always own:

  • Your website

  • Your domain

  • Your logo and design files

  • Your written content

  • Any materials you upload or provide

The Interchange does not claim ownership of your business or creative assets. You may request your files at any time.

We reserve the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

6. The Interchange Network (Optional)

If you choose to join the Interchange Network:

  • You decide what information is shared publicly

  • You may leave the network at any time

  • Participation does not create legal responsibility between members or between you and us

  • The network is for community support and visibility only, not a legal partnership

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Because we begin working quickly:

  • Refunds are available only if no work has been completed

  • Once work has started, partial refunds may be considered based on the amount of work delivered

  • Completed projects are not eligible for refunds

We always aim to be fair, clear, and human centered.

8. Your Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Use our work for unlawful activities

  • Misuse your website in a way that harms others

  • Share private access credentials of The Interchange or other clients

  • Represent yourself as part of The Interchange staff unless you are hired or contracted

9. Our Responsibilities

The Interchange agrees to:

  • Provide honest, ethical, beginner friendly support

  • Help you understand your website and tools

  • Deliver work in a reasonable timeline

  • Protect your privacy and keep your assets secure

  • Communicate if delays or issues arise

We cannot guarantee business outcomes, financial success, site traffic, or client conversions. We provide tools, design, and support, not guarantees.

10. Third Party Tools and Services

We use platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, Google Workspace, Canva, Zoom, and AI tools. These services have their own Terms and Conditions. By using these tools through our work together, you agree to follow their rules.

We are not responsible for outages, errors, or policy changes made by those platforms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • The Interchange is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific project in question

  • You are responsible for how you choose to use your website, branding, and tools after delivery

12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The revised version will always include a new date at the top. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated Terms.
